3 in 1 Multi-Functional Rice Washer Strainer Bowl

This rice washing bowl works fine for rinsing rice and other grains. The bottom of the bowl is dimpled to agitate the rice while you swish it with water, and the angled side keeps most of the rice in the bottom of the bowl when you go to pour the water off. The strainer section has small enough holes to contain most grains, but very small seeds like golden quinoa can fall through if you're not careful when draining the water. I found that draining slowly worked well and allowed only a few escapees. The metal is not super thick, but it's perfectly adequate for it's intended use. The strainer lip is formed as a pour spout, which makes it easier to pour the rice into a cooker or a pot, without having a bunch spill over the sides. I find this much more convenient to use than a normal colander or mesh strainer since there's a limited perforated area for any grains to get trapped in, and the solid bowl section allows for thorough rinsing. Some grains will get stuck between the dimples when you pour, but a quick scrape by hand or with a spatula will get them out.

I love the material is made of. Is super strong pretty easy & simple to use. I totally will recommend! The size is not big or small just perfect! I couldn't wait to use it. My rice stay all in the bowl.

I always hated rinsing rice before I got his. I used a mesh strainer and a bowl, and it was a pain. This makes it easy, I don't think it takes long for the rice to drain, some rice will get stuck on the holes, but it's easy to push out. I've also used this for rinsing fruit. It does have a hole so after using it I hang it on my cabinet next to the sink using a command hook!

Perfect for draining those small grains, like rice or grits.
